Today, our PhD student Christina Anastasia Stamouli has “spikade” (nailed) her dissertation titled “Generation of Human Subtype-Specific Interneurons for Therapeutic Replacement and Disease Modelling” - a longstanding academic tradition in Sweden. This symbolic milestone typically takes place two to three weeks prior to the official thesis defence.

Christina also carried out her Bachelor’s internship and completed her Master’s studies within our research group, making this an especially meaningful moment in her academic journey.

Her dissertation defence will take place on 5 June at 13:00 in Segerfalksalen, BMC.

We warmly congratulate Christina on reaching this important milestone and look forward to celebrating her defence.
